Preschool

Our Preschool program welcomes children from Pre-K2 through Pre-K4, typically ages 2.5 to 5, and is carefully structured into three unique classes: Juniors (Pre-K2), Grads (Pre-K3), and Pre-K4. Each class has its own developmental focus, while students also share learning areas throughout the day, allowing for valuable cross-age connections. Younger children have the chance to observe and learn from older classmates, while older students build confidence and leadership skills by modeling positive behaviors and helping their peers. This approach encourages independence, teamwork, empathy, and a close-knit sense of community throughout our school.
Our curriculum follows a thoughtfully planned progression of skills that begins as early as infancy at our HLC location. When children move on to The City School, we can explore academics in a more focused and intentional way, expanding on the foundations introduced during their infant and toddler years. Life and practical skills continue to be an important part of our philosophy. Through food preparation, classroom jobs, problem-solving, and self-care routines, we purposefully support children in becoming capable, confident learners who take an active role in their everyday experiences.
